Bill vs. Tina

RANDOM ADD-ON TO THIS POST (6/21): Lord help me! Now at least 1 person thinks that I actually support this pairing! Sweet mother of Clow! (And speaking of Clow -- I'm writing some of "My Name..." this morning, and I'm planning to put a teaser up this afternoon (LJ only) so... stay tuned.)

Dueling poems with William Shakespeare ("Let me not to the marriage of true minds...") and Christina Rosetti ("What Would I Give"), and it's a food fic, and dear gods it hurt like hell to write. I barely lasted to the almost 2000 words, and I'm so jumpy (espresso) that I forgot the disclaimer! TouyaxYue Only on ff.net so Konnie can read it. The last stanza of the Rosetti poem applies to me right now:

What would I give for tears, not smiles but scalding tears,
To wash the black mark clean, and to thaw the frost of years,
To wash the stain ingrain, and to make me clean again.

All in all, I think I did a good job with it. But maybe it's the caffeine talking. I am never writing anyone else's OTP again. In fact, I'm not going to write any more pairings at all.

"Fusenkago" (I'm not sure who was pairing besides E/K and S/S, but it smacks of pairingness.)
"Lovers in the Park" (E/K fluff)
"Disloyalty" (Okay, I don't know with that one.)
"Release Me from..." (which I'd given up anyway)
"Seen but not Heard" (Which was a possible R/T)
"Forgotten Kiss" (SakuraxYukito-Yue)

And that leaves --

"Take Comfort" (character growth oriented)
"My Name Upon You" (Clow, character oriented)
"LCRD" (Clow, but I don't think it's going anywhere)

and some Original Fiction, and any challenges I can do without pairings. Oh, and "Meeting as if By..." but that's just because... well.

As least I can think of this just written fic as a gift to the T/Y-Y 'shippers that I think of as friends. Would've extended the dedication to include more of you by name, but I wasn't sure how many of you feel that Yue and Yukito really are the same person.

And this Rosetti poem makes me think of both Clow and Nadeshiko:
Song

When I am dead, my dearest,
Sing no sad songs for me;
Plant thou no roses at my head,
Nor shady cypress tree:
Be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet:
And if thou wilt, remember,
And if thou wilt, forget.

I shall not see the shadows,
I shall not feel the rain;
I shall not hear the nightengale
Sing on, as if in pain:
And dreaming through the twilight
That doth not rise nor set,
Haply I may remember,
And haply may forget.

That's why I'm only going to post my challenge entry on LJ. The thought of people thinking I actually *like* Eriol/Tomoyo makes me shudder...
