"Take Comfort" update

What I had, written, was close to where I could break it, thankfully. So here it is, in time for my Nade's birthday:
Companion
Remember how I said there would be 3 chapters? {laughs humorlessly} Well... there are three major chapters to the end of "TC". MAJOR. I'm going to have to break them up into 2000 to 3000 word chunks. (My earlier chapters were so short. I can't go all "Peacewish" now.) (That's not a negative comment, Peacewish, dear. You just write "real" length chapters.)
So Companion is, in my mind still, "chapter 17a". The advantage to breaking up the CHAPTERS is that I can hint more with titles... even though it breaks up the chapter title continuity that I first had in mind. That's probably good. I'm trying not to rush "TC" like I did up through the first "ending"; I have a lot that I have to cover, if I want the story to be done right.
Oh, and ff.net dropped all the double backslash marks off of the //thinking// parts. It doesn't hurt anything... I used that notation when I couldn't do italics (doc. file). But, why? I'm going to check out other archives when I have some time. We all keep complaining about ff.net; maybe we should be using somewhere else primarily. If I was paying for it, I'd be annoyed.
I had to switch modes to get this chapter-ette posted. Now I feel like I should be working on "TC" instead of "CS". Ow! It hurts my head when I switch gears like that.
The full-size colored Nadeshiko is cuter (so is the sketch) but 100 pixels is limiting. Maybe I'll put it somewhere eventually, probably hidden in the Desk Drawer.
Okay, so, I also just put a bunch of entries in as "memories", which will give you an overview of me if you've just noticed me. {waves to new friends} I'll check them periodically, so if you have a comment to add, please do, particularly on the OTP and whether or not I should put warnings on my writing. Thanks!
And now, an rant about Tsukimine Shrine:
Three... only three people had anything to say! THREE!!! (Four only if you count L-chan, although I expect she'll put her full comment in at the end, per usual.) It's like, it rolls to the bottom of the page and nobody looks. I can deal with that regarding challenge submissions... it's not right, but I guess readers might think the author won't notice. But the character discussions go into the community Memories. They're on the record for anyone checking out the community for the first time.
THREE!!!
How can even the small core group who regularly comments have only 3 people with anything to say? Personally, I want to know. Not interested in Clow Reed? I still want to know. Those three (me included) went to the effort to put in fic recommendations... those alone should garner some comment.
Come on, people! Speak up!!!
THREE!!!

Date: 2004-05-19 05:51 pm (UTC)Yeah, ff.n has been strange lately... Al the asterisks disappeared from my last fic. I had to separate scenes with that ugly bar thingy. Wonder what's going on?
And I know what you mean about the comments. :( Nakuru got more. Nakuru! *sigh*

It would please me greatly if you'd read "CS" when I'm done with it.

Date: 2004-05-22 04:49 am (UTC)Particular problems include creating links to other websites, and other lj entries, as well as writing an lj cut tag so it shows the title of my challenge response. Anything else you'd like to throw in is perfectly welcome. As I said, any way you care to name.

Date: 2004-05-21 07:52 pm (UTC)I'm sorry, I would have said something but I've been gone for most of the week. And now it seems too late, perhaps...
Though I can promise that if Clow shows up to plan my wedding for me, I'll definitely put in a few good words :D
Oy.

Date: 2004-05-23 06:14 pm (UTC)Anyway, you can still put some words in. I'll read your thoughts, and I bet Laurus Nobilis will, too.
You, of all people. (Sheesh.)
Now I just have ONE MORE that needs prodding with a shaming stick. (You said you had it BAD for Clow, girl!)
