New look for my LJ.  I didn't spend a lot of time on it, just finally looked at the customizing options.  Picked at somewhat random sans preview.  Goes strangely with my icon (which I drew).  Changed my bio info, too.

Cruised TS... (thank you, E, for the comment -- that really was meant to get a laugh)... will finish this little scribbling and move on to attempts at drawing Yue (my Clow worked out pretty cute, even if  I'm really just "copying") and when that fails miserably, probably play around with more Clow stories.

A note on that: I still think I should actually eat konnyaku, first.  But I don't think I can get it even at Uajimaya.  Huh.  And I'd probably kinda like it.  I haven't met a dim sum or sushi that I haven't at least been friendly with, anyway.  Then again, it could have the same effect on me as Gefiltefish {gags at memory}.

Re-read "Indian Summer, Hawthorn Winter" last night and was surprized at how much it didn't suck.  I was sure that I would have a "dear God!" moment of shame.  It's not brilliant, and it is awfully short, but... still like it.  At least my image of Clow has remained consistant.

I'm wondering if I should sneak my House of Leaves/Poe reference into "CS" or if that's just stupid.  I keep wanting to call the next chapter "The Five-and-a-Half Minute Hallway".  Rosario was kind of "Spanish Doll", and lord knows that "Lemon Meringue" is coming up in about... um... five chapters?  OMG, the more I think about it, the more I think that there's a song title to match nearly every chapter!  "Wild" for Rolling Water.  "Could've Gone Mad" for Closer Yet (which is in about 3 chapters).

Okay, this is a problem.

I have to stop writing in the off-beat music references.  First Nina Gordon, then Cowboy Junkies, now the threat of Poe -- what's next, Bauhaus???  Not to mention the imagery I get off of Tanya Donelly's stuff.

Found one!  There is no song to match Teaser, which, by the way, is where the konnyaku comes in.
