The last time I had held a controller, it had a lot less buttons.
omnifarious sat me down in front of Katamari Damacy this morning. (I kept thinking, I hope
spazzychic doesn't get mad for not getting to me first.) As expected, I'm pretty terrible.
Later today I went out in the bold sunshine to Alki, where
divinityof_fire and I peered around an Indian cultural festival. We then got some dinner and headed up the hill to see The Lady in the Water. I meant to see it weeks ago, but somehow... . I love Shyamalan. His earlier movies were stronger films in terms of mainstream appeal, but I *liked* Signs and The Village, and I liked this one, too. His storytelling style appeals to me. I think he fills his movies with strong actors who get to play characters that they enjoy.
Before the movie, we wandered around Metropolitan Market for a bit and admired the cheeses. Mmm, cheese. The variety makes me want to throw a party.

Date: 2006-09-03 06:09 am (UTC)I'm not sure, but I suspect the PS2 and XBox actually have the most buttons for consoles. (Twelve buttons. PS2: four right-thumb buttons, four shoulder buttons, two thumbstick buttons, and the Start/Select pair. XBox: four right-thumb buttons, two shoulder "trigger" buttons, two thumbstick buttons, two Black/White buttons, and the Start/Select pair. Add in one extra each if you count the D-Pad.)
I love playing Katamari Damacy, if only for the sense of "what did I just pick up?" (And the music. Can't forget the music.)
