I found this surprizing because I think it's accurate. I wouldn't mind sharing, I think, but I don't seek it out. I never even really gave it much thought pre-LJ, but when I saw how many of my LJ friends were poly, I thought, "Well, that's cool that they make it work." And one of you in particular can even make me believe in true love again. ^_^

I'm done and done with monogamy. It's not for me. I don't want to marry, either, not ever. I just want to be me, and love where I will, and be able to be grateful for any love that comes to me, in whatever degree that may be.

People always seem shocked when I tell them I never want to get married. "But what if you meet the right guy?" they say. Never seem to have a good or convincing response for them, and although my closest friends sort of accept good-naturedly that I'm never getting married, they think it's more a "she's a bitter single" than "she's principled" sort of thing.

Oh, it's terrible when you say such things if you're under 30. But somehow, either I'm keeping better company, or saying it with more conviction (cuz so many people think I still look under 30), because I don't usually get the arguement anymore. Anyway, now I can say "dodged that bullet" as a justification, if though that's really *not* the reason.
