This is the first time I've turned on the computer today.  Got some excercise, fresh air, and too much sun earlier today instead.

I ended up doing almost all of my options yesterday.  I read through chapter 1, and... it wasn't that bad!  I got to use the "red pen" (red text) all over it, marking almost every paragraph for developement, and highlighted about a dozen spots with awkward phrasing.  None of the problems are crippling.  Mostly, I just need to develope and transition better.

In a few days, I'll just start writing on chapter 2, and then I'll go back and work on the edits.

I also read a couple of MMS short stories (he writes the weirdess vampire plots) and also went to pick up Drawing Blood. Turns out that's not (apparently) a vampire book, the premise is supposed to be a bit more like The Shining. Still, it was recommended to me by someone who has read Stiff and The Sparrow, loves Tim Burton and David Lynch, and Tori Amos, and writes poetry. (Overall, someone who has compatible opinions.)

I was very proud of myself because I unavoidably had to check that email account (I have since switched my info with that company to the yahoo account) to chase a problem, and of course, there were a couple of review notices.  I didn't read them!  Yay, me!  I almost caved, but then I thought, they'll taste so much better if I save them for later.

Still, I know I'd better check the goings on at TS, read my Friends page, and get the heck offline.

Happy 4th to everyone!  Don't forget -- fireworks (if they're legal where you are) are still fire.  Respect appropriately.  And God Bless America; it's only as much as we, her citizens, make it.
