If you don't like the weather in Seattle, wait 15 minutes

 An hour ago it was pouring down rain, and I decided that I should nevertheless go out for a walk, etc., or else I might be indoor all day. Fifteen minutes ago, while it was still raining, I went out again to fix the gate that keeps getting stuck. 

And now it's not raining at all.

But I'm not motivated to go out...

a commonly heard idiom here as well,.. though weather quirks tend to go by days not minutes,..

been in and out, but melting snow doesn't offer much to do,..we're getting a small spring melt,..

the critters seem to like it,..:)

my rain jacket is no longer waterproof. it failed miserably (again) during the morning dog walk today, so I finally pulled the trigger on ordering a new one.

I was just joking with C that the rain is guaranteed to disappear as soon as the package arrives next week. apparently the intention is all that was necessary :D

My "waterproof" rain jacket is less --proof that it used to be. Ten minutes, and I began to feel a trickle down my back. So thank you for activating weather perversity.

ugh. my shoulders had been going for a while, but today it was the hood dripping cold water on my neck. that was the last straw.

the coat I found was from the REI garage for 50% off, so I think it's time to start watching for end-of-season clearances.

I don't know if it's because I live in England, land of the rain, or maybe it's because I'm weird, but I love going for a walk in the rain. OK, my 6 year old loves jumping in puddles which also makes it fun, but I always feel freer somehow, like the rain washes away everything that's been worrying me.
