Dyeing with expired printer ink: silk thermal shirt

Here are some photos of the silk thermal that I tie dyed with expired ink. The ink is used for printer cartridge refilling, and after x years it is no longer suitable. The silk thermal is from Dharma Trading Co. I used two black formulations and the same method as dyeing with food color, more or less. I like it. I was at Value Village today and noticed they had a large number of white linen blouses. I love linen but most of the white were too thin for me to enjoy. I started wondering if I could dye them.

Neat! I had a shirt that looked similar for a while, but I don't know how the dyeing process was done.
