First Exercise for
nanowarmup
There are pluses to being up and awake (sort of) and on my way to work at a quarter to five in the morning. I never leave enough time to admire the sky, though, and this morning, the full moon was enchanting, shining immense and heavy onto the water, it's light crisp against the dark sky. Since it's autumn, the skies have been clear in the pre-dawn, and the stars so distinct that I can even see the faint cluster that I think is supposed to be a swan. Every star in Orion, of course, shines like the burning sun it is.
Pre-dawn night is different from pre-midnight night. I can feel everyone sleeping. Sound carries further, the way it does after snowfall. It's different from the quiet in an unpopulated area, because I can still feel the people.
