B&O is closing. Building with 76 units of retail, etc, to be built.

I want to be full of rage, but I just feel pessimistic.

This has been coming for a very long time now. I wonder if they plan to open up elsewhere or if this really is the end of an era.

The building people want the B&O back once the new building is ready, and they've made some design decisions based on the B&O owner's requests. The B&O owner has been noncommital when I've talked to him, though; he said they might move to Queen Anne while construction is going on, and if that happens, I'm not sure they'll want to bother moving back. And if they don't open somewhere during construction, who knows. I wish their attempt to move into the old Dilettante space hadn't failed in such a horrible way. :(

I signed the petition against that way back when; I'm sorry it's going through. I do hope they come back; I love that place.
