Phone posting is the new lazy

butterflydreamingFL and FB have lost my interest. I am impressed at how little interest the internets have had for me of late, beside LJ, which I can read on my phone. From which I post even now. The other day, I even left the wi-fi off the whole time I was at my desk. I wish I could say that this was a new leaf, but I suspect it's a worm of the kind that will turn yet again. To juxtapose metaphors. And use juxtaposition as a verb.(simple pleasures)
An idea came to me while I journaled earlier. A "Quiet Reading Meet-up" group, about an hour long, where members would chat at the beginning and end for no more than 10 minutes, then quietly read in each other's company for an hour, the rest of the meet up. It's not a book club. No one is required to read the same book or discuss what he is reading, but unlike taking a book to a crowded cafe an reading among total strangers, you have a kind of social contract for unsocial people going on. If the idea still strikes my fancy a week from now, I will look into organizing a group.
