Wednesday.

Spaghetti. And for bread, something that could be called a savory scone: sundried tomatoes, mozzarella cheese. We had everything for it at home, saving me a stop for bread on the way home.

I wore my hair in French braids.

Had it not be cold, my decision would have swayed to an evening of "dark 80's", DJ's choice. But it was cold, and I can goth out on bad speakers at home tonight, if I want to.

The red coat sits in the closet, needing dry cleaning. I can't bear it. It's a bright red symbol of misery. However, there are many more things I need for cold weather, and this coat is serviceable. I'll wear my heavy grey one, more.

I will see my best-friend-from-high-school in 16 days.

Phase 1 of gilding with candy wrappers appears to be successful. Remarkably difficult to find candy that comes with a plain gold foil. Rolos. Now if only I could find my brushes.

FYI: In the calligraphy seminar I took last winter, uber-calligrapher Martin Jackson also showed how he uses gold foil candy wrappers in his drafts to see where to place gold before he uses the real thing.
