Happiness CAN be *that* easy

[I am now rewriting this post, stubbornly clinging to the tendrils of victory, after the cat jumped on & over my keyboard and exhibited her talent for wiping my text away. Which is to say, happiness can be that ephemeral.]
$22 and a few minutes later, I have a chair.
Something that has made me unhappy for a very long time is that I haven't had a space of my own. I have a desk, a salvaged moving-day discard that fits perfectly in a corner by a window, but I haven't had a chair of the right height. I haven't had a chair at all, only a kitchen stool (a dumpster rescue, but nice) that is far too tall. Most of the time, if I've been sitting on the floor or my bed with my laptop. My corner is also crowded with kitchen stuff overflow and my stuff that doesn't fit anywhere else in my small apartment.
All my beads and tools are still in their boxes. They are stacked on top of the desk, and every time I see them... .
But the desk has a drop-down shelf for keyboard or writing that is just right for my laptop. And the chair I just bought is exactly the right height for me to be typing with good posture right now. There is a second-hand furniture place just down on the corner. I got up off the floor (literally), grabbed a little cash that I had squirreled away, and went to see if I'd have some luck. Win.
The bad day and all the disappointments can just step the f*** back. I've got something that makes me happy.
