My short story, "A Theft of Teapots," will be published in Elm Books' mystery story anthology in November. (Yay!!!) For fun just now, I popped the story title into Google to see what spun up.
Thieves stole some pie and mixed some muffins at the Briar Patch Tea Room(!) EDIT: if you follow the link, you'll be blocked by a subscription pop up. To read the article, do as I did and input "a theft of teapots" into a Google search.
The top hit was a 1991 Daily Press news article about teapots being stolen, along with a eucalyptus wreath. The funny part is that the short article goes on to say that the thieves also mixed up and baked a batch of muffins.
Truth, you are forever funnier than fiction.
