my answers to these questions are intertwined, as much of the in-head-storytelling i do is in second person, and so much of the time i call myself "you".

It's usually my legal first name. I think of myself as Laura, never a diminutive. The stories I tell myself are always in first person.

It's not really a name. More like a feeling.

Do you tell yourself stories about yourself in the first or third person?
__ something else entirely

It's all very abstract... like, I don't think the stories in words or sentences. Does that make any kind of sense?

I call myself by my first name. When I monologue in my head it's as if someone was reading an autobiography crossed with lines of a detective on a noir film.

That's just how I'm going to imagine your life from now on: mystery, shadowy camera angles, bourbon, and dames who mean trouble when they walk into through the door.

Either David or Daiv, depending on which of me I am talking to. Or about.

so I haven't been on here in forever, nor have I read your lj in forever, sorry.

Anyway. My answer's sort of complicated? Most of my friends irl now are people I met initially online. Because I'm a mildly different person online, I sort of think of myself by my username (a different one, actually) when I'm thinking about interactions with them and as my first name the rest of the time.

Depends? as I think of myself by two names, it depends whether I'm telling myself a story about myself interacting with my friends when referring to myself in my head by my first name... so both first and third person.

...

This is actually a conscious split, something I enforced mentally.

Usually (now-legal) first name. Sometimes that appended w/ -cat (per former lj name).

I tell stories to myself about myself in 3rd, but more often have running dialogues between 1st & 2nd. Superego uses 2nd.
