Snowpocalypse hits Capital Hill by night

Were those *very* loud noises this moring around 5am thunder?

No snow for us as of bedtime last night, not that I could see, but it's all dusted white this morning. Now to see if any buses are running... I would LOVE a snow day!

The Seattle PI and King 5 both are reporting that we had thunder this morning...which I apparently completely slept through.

My friend [livejournal.com profile] mlyn said it woke her up. I was up early, but I'm not sure that's what did it.

I thought I heard thunder last night too, but I looked outside and it was a snowplow/bobcat, diggin' us out. :)

I can unequivocally state there was thundersnow on Capitol Hill around 5 AM. One clap woke me up, and then I saw a lightning flash followed veryverysoon by thunder. . . it must have been within a mile.

The thunder (well, the lightning, really, I think) shook my house it was so close. I want to know where it struck.

Yep it was thunder. It woke me up and I was so confused and became concerned that it was my alarm clock making the noise. Even better...I don't have an alarm clock.
