I dreamed I was Tony Stark

Or rather, that I was a double and I was being confused for him (yes, Ironman Tony Stark). At one point, this meant getting hit on by a cute, young, African American woman named Tara. She and the other woman were both very confused by my evasive manner.
Which has nothing to do with anything, but is more lighthearted than starting with the news that my dad had a "mild heart-attack and stroke" last weekend. He's doing very well. D & I had dim sum with him today. That is, we ate dim sum and he had some congee (less fat and salt). He doesn't have any obvious signs of the event. The strict diet change is a very good thing, since my older sister also has high blood pressure.
The waiter asked after my mom. "How is your wife?"
My dad has been walking every day. I suggested that I might meet up with him one of the mornings and walk, too. I'm sure he'll dust me. I walk all the time, but I am not a morning person.
D and I went down to Seattle Center to investigate the ice sculpture and the so-called bonfire (a bonfire, by Parks & Rec standards, is pretty small). It's pretty down there, with all the lights. The International Fountain continues to impress and charm; I love our fountain.
We walked around. Got hot chocolate. A night picnic would be rather fun.
D starts work on Monday. I will miss coming home to find dinner ready. {shrugs} Them's the breaks. We'll be trading off cooking duties, which has it's own benefits. I like to cook.
It's been really piled on this year. Can it start getting simple again, please?

Can it start getting simple again, please?

Date: 2008-12-07 05:52 am (UTC)I like the walking with Dad plan. If you want to work on matching his endurance, ping me for an afterwork session next week. I could use the cardio workout.
