Wander & Meet

I had an idea over lunch that D agreed sounded fun. For as long as we both have a weekend day together free (or whatever other day), I want to pick some neighborhood in the area that we haven't been to, find something to do there, and go. For example, if we want to see WALL-E, instead of seeing it at the multiplex near home, we'll find a movie theater playing it in the neighborhood of that weekend. He suggested a gaming approach for selection of where.

But I was thinking, it could be a fun way to meet new people, too. A sort of wandering coffee meet up. We could post in some appropriate venue that we were going to be in X at Y time, inviting anyone who wants to to come by an say hello.

That is a great idea. :)
Whenever I moved to a new city, I either got on some sort of public transport and rode it anywhere or I got on my bike and rode anywhere.
It's the best way to get to know your new surroundings.
