Happy Birthday [livejournal.com profile] mimerki. May your day be equal to the wonderfulness that is you. That is a rather tall order, but I'll hope for it anyway.

Going back a full week:
I had a blast of a weekend, all things I'd planned and wasn't going to cancel because I no longer had a job. I'd say that I have the rope burns to prove it, but I don't mark easily. I do, however, still have show tunes in my head. On Sunday night, I walked in the warm rain with L and had possibly the best hamburger of my life at Elliott Bay Brewery.

My first priority since Monday has been to do my best to become a member of the workforce again. Last week sucked in many ways. To negate the suckage, I spent QT during the week with a few of the important people in my life, including my beloved [livejournal.com profile] kendaer.

Please don't ask how the job hunt is going.

I spent a lot of time running around from place to place. Emotionally, too.

On Friday night I started a beading project that should have been very simple, but it seems that I had to pay my dues of suffering to the art gods for having neglected them. Design to completion was much more uncomfortable and difficult than I would have expected. It's a small thing that fits in one hand, but full of pretty. I had to learn square stitch to complete it, as it is a combination of bead weaving (loom work) and square stitch. The intention is that it's part of a larger project, but we'll see.

This continued through Saturday.

And on Sunday I did not rest. No rest for the wicked. M'love took me out to an awesome pizza joint with delicious wood-fired pizza, The Rock. It's not just that he feeds me, really. Actually, there was a lot of Deep Discussion and Important Big Questions yesterday. And I love him so much that words fail.

This morning was not Monday-like at all. Some good stuff on the job front. It's still probably going to take longer than I like, and one of my good prospects, the highest paying one, is home loan related again. And credit cards are my friends. (I'm going to be so broke.)

There is something to be said for it being a beautiful, crisp day outside. Now I'm going to go drop off another resume and runs some other errands and get some delayed lunch.
