Tea Party

Invited by extension, I attended a tea party yesterday at the house of lumiere and his elegant lady. The place to be was at the table with Henrietta, a unicorn of great years and great charm, but that table was reserved for the differently-animate tea drinkers. I no longer have any "stuffed" (the old term) friends of my own, so I had no one to bring. divinityof_fire offered the escort of Tako-san, but that seemed a little too much like my prom.

Lots of lovely people that I didn't know, who made intelligent and amusing conversation. It was fun and I had a pleasant time. However, I find myself wanting a tea party of my own. We really should.

I also really want one of those electric hot water pots...

1. We really must have tea some time! I have at my disposal some neat little cuter for dainty cheeses, and I can make a mean ham or cucumber sandwich.

My best stuffed friend is also my most recent. I bought it because its expression was identical to one of my best friends'- and they're about as communicative. I've held off on naming him because... well, as far as I'm concerned he already HAS a name, but it would be very confusing to have two best friends with the same name. We get along very well, though I can never remember what I've told to the more animate version as opposed to the version I carry around all the time.

It sounds like a wonderful time.
