omnifarious sat me down in front of Katamari Damacy this morning. (I kept thinking, I hope spazzychic doesn't get mad for not getting to me first.) As expected, I'm pretty terrible.
Later today I went out in the bold sunshine to Alki, wheredivinityof_fire and I peered around an Indian cultural festival. We then got some dinner and headed up the hill to see The Lady in the Water. I meant to see it weeks ago, but somehow... . I love Shyamalan. His earlier movies were stronger films in terms of mainstream appeal, but I *liked* Signs and The Village, and I liked this one, too. His storytelling style appeals to me. I think he fills his movies with strong actors who get to play characters that they enjoy.
Before the movie, we wandered around Metropolitan Market for a bit and admired the cheeses. Mmm, cheese. The variety makes me want to throw a party.
