8. If I do this for you, you must post this on yours
I'm tired. I have no chocolate (horror!) to combat the afternoon caffeine desire. I am hoping that there will be mail so that I can take a short walk outside to the mailbox.
Too often, the highlight of my day is food in some way. I need to start taking more baths. Soaking would probably be more beneficial that the equivalent time in sleep.

Date: 2006-06-09 12:04 am (UTC)To answer number 7: My name has a somewhat historic but pretty boring start. I was on a local bbs when I was 12 years old or so and I needed a handle. My first one was "flashlight", which is where the old term "Flaslight Holder Peering Over" comes from.
Since it was a local BBS, we'd have meetups now and again. I was perpetually being introduced as "This is Amber, or Flashlight. You know, the spazzy chick."... My spazzyness at the time was more of the annoying sort so I can imagine where such a reputation would spawn.
Anyway, about 14 or so the BBS I was on died a horrible phone bill death and a new one sprang up. I then used the handle "Spazzychic". While at the time I was still VERY tomboy like and as far from "chic" as I could be, I appreciated the irony. :)
The name ended up on LJ because when I started the journal I felt a lot like the confused, depressive and lost 12 year old I was, but I remembered even though life was pretty crappy at the time, I still managed to have some great friends met through an online community. Thus, the name came here. :)

Date: 2006-06-09 08:07 pm (UTC)Hmm, I've never done anything exciting in the backseat of a car (other than smooching)! I can't recall that conversation!
And I cannot get into most westerns or "inspirational" or most mainstream romances. I like sex in my romances, or at least sexual tension. Larry McMurty is an exception as I did love Lonesome Dove.
Movies? Westerns and horribly slapstick comedy (I like my comedy dark and dripping with sarcasm, shock!)

7. Multi-headed monkeys?
no subject
Date: 2006-06-09 08:25 pm (UTC)7- Ahahahahaha! Ever since I added that to my interests I've been waiting for someone to ask about it. I'll explain: I'm a fan of adventure games and one of my favorites is the Monkey Island series. The protagonist always tries to escape by claiming "Look! There's a three headed monkey behind you!". At one point of the game he gets ignored and a three-headed-monkey does show up... that should give you a hint of the fantastic Pirates-of-the-Caribbean inspired crack the games are. My whole family loves those games and my brother and me often use lines from the game as an in-joke.

2. What would tempt you? I *tried* to get the girly thing to happen, but we were foiled by the scheduling demands of SIFF and Princess Cruises. Darn it!
3. It's the Burton "family color". . . if we had modern-day coats of arms, that would be in it. We're just magnetically drawn to it. One time my parents and I went to go visit my grandmother, and sometime in the course of the visit she pointed out that all of us, her included, were wearing a shirt in some variation of it. We hadn't realized it. Once we stopped to think about it, though, we pulled her over to the window to look at our new car parked in the driveway. Yes, it was that color.
It has been REALLY hard not having that color in the wedding - but as
Have you ever looked at my lj in its native color scheme, btw?

7. Yes, I would be delighted, but give me a couple weeks - I just had a tooth pulled today, and I'm getting brackets and wires for braces installed Tuesday. :P
