Gourmet chocolate-chocolate marshmallows! They are softer than regular marshmallows, like the difference between the inside of baguette and thick pizza crust. We ate these at our picnic yesterday.
Call me a traditionalist, but marshmallows are meant to be toasted, and toasted chocolate is not a good thing. Are they as sweet as traditional marshmallows? If not they could be quite tasty.
They aren't as sweet. I imagine that eating them with a graham cracker would be like a cold smore-like sandwich treat. I can't compare these to toasted... toasting a marshmallow is an alchemy that creates an incomparable flavor. Are you a coffee drinker? Have you ever put a toasted mm into a fresh mug of java, or a latte? SO good.
Also, these mms, while gourmet, would be less "fun" than a melty, hot, toasted marshmallow, provided that one has the right company.
I'm not sure... I'll have to find the recipe. I'll share it when I do. I don't think it really requires special equipment, since it's essentially a gelatin mix that you can allow to set in any sort of mold/ pan.
They do look yummy but...
