The flat screen monitor that I have had since June finally had a complete nervous breakdown. While it would, rarely, cut out and go black for no reason, to return in a few moments, this morning it has been cutting out repeatedly. I had to switch out monitors to the horrid old one that I started with. It's a big, old, bulky monitor and because of the desk I have and how the keyboard is set up, my focal distance is now too short. It was giving me headaches and eye fatigue the first month that I was here. All the other flat screens (that work) are in use.

I feel like crying. I can't walk out over a monitor (I can't walk out at all), but I swear, this is close to the last straw.

Blown capacitors. Apparently, it happens a lot with flat screen monitors a lot. You've got my deepest sympathies. (At least you didn't pay around $500 for it and have it break down like that inside of a year. =/ That's the good part about this happening at work instead of at home, right?)

~hugs~ I hope they can get you a new one, or get that one fixed. ~passes you aspirin and a dose of good luck~
