Sushi Wednesday #1, Dec 2004
Unlucky fourth! This sushi night awry,
yet I will say it never is a loss;
just think of how a year has circled by
marked by delicious fish, sake, soy sauce,
green tea, edamame, and miso soup,
sought each occasion at a place that's new,
by friendship in a growing, changing group.
Four in a year is certainly too few!
Goodnights are said with kiss, or hug, or wave;
We plan the next, even as we depart;
I organize, but this began with Dave,
since he is where these friendships had their start.
Edmonton is only a throw away;
"Thank you" is never full enough to say.
I'm always mispronouncing things I've only seen written and never heard said. As I washed my hair this morning, I realized that this mistake had probably happened. Strikes me as hilarious, really.
