*really needs an icon of an excited mountain lion running around in circles in Snow Romping Mood* *really needs more icons, period*
Maybe an hour ago samildanach called me from downtown (he works near the new library) and said "Look outside! It's snowing!" I looked and replied, "Not in Belltown, it's not!" Happily, he was not imagining things, and it moved north :). Yay!
Snow on December 1 seems an auspicious omen. I know 'technically' that it's still fall and it doesn't become winter until after the Solstice, but darnit, December 1 feels like the first day of winter to me. Perhaps because of early classroom art indoctrination.
I've seen snow twice in my life. And it wasn't even enough to make an snowman. I don't tolerate extreme cold that well- which is kind of logical considering the lowest temperature in this city is 13 Celsius- but I'm fascinated by snow because it's strange and unfamiliar, much in the same way thunderstorms are.

Oh, and I'm going to make your banana cake for tomorrow--I'm having a "thank-God-it's-over" party.
