Chris Walla is on the cover of Spin. That is, Death Cab for Cutie is on the cover... but those of you who've been around for a while know which of the four made me squeal (quietly) when I pulled the mag out of the mailbox.

Spin's photos aren't any better than any of his previous public photographs, but there is a cute on of him at age 7 on a pony!

I suddenly miss being a barista. (Turns out Chris's 29 -- that's only 4 years younger than me! But it's still hopeless, enjae, shiro_no_wired.) If I leave a "congrats for being on the cover" note for him at the store, is that creepy and stalkerish?

If you're really worried about being percieved as a stalker, you could add a little post script to the effect of "No, I'm not a stalker. Please believe me *puppy face*" I think leaving him a note would be a sweet thing to do.

But it's still hopeless
