It's still morning in Hawaii.
Jan. 29th, 2006 03:42 pmI am clinging to the last portion of my weekend with a miserly grip.
I want to say that afternoon rock shows are ideal for me, because I get to stay for the whole show without needing a car to get home. We saw Rocky Votolato at the Crocodile yesterday. He's on tour now that his CD is out. I strongly recommend seeing him; he's an excellent live performer, very charming & still a down-to-earth guy. His music has a masculine passion, and while the stories in them are sometimes sad, sometimes desperate, you can still get the sense of a person who is not dragged down by his history. I have a favorite song already, one that has a slightly Desperado feel to it; I don't know the name of it, but I'm betting it's going to be the single... if it's not one that got cut. (Shh. I'm not supposed to have heard it before if it *was* cut.)
( the rest cut cuz I'm nice like that )
Happy Year 4704!
