I do so love to read my movies.

I have just finished watching Kitchen Stories. There is actually very little dialog in it; like the kind of, well, love that it shows, it is a quiet movie that lets you come to your own understanding. Though sold as a comedy, its humor is subtle rather than Odd-Couple goofy. It's left me with such a warm feeling...

I have Bend It Like Beckham, too, but I think that might have to wait til tomorrow.

Kitchen Stories was one of the most delightful surprises at Sneak Films (http://www.sneakfilms.com/). While the program has seemed less exciting in the past year or so, the trivia prizes, passionate producers, and occasional guests make it worthwhile. And the last film, A League of Ordinary Gentlemen, was a pleasant surprise of a film I wouldn't have seen usually. I like to think I'd have sought out Kitchen Stories anyway, but Sneak made sure I saw it.

Thanks for reminding me about Sneak. I'm going this Sunday.
