Time on My Hands

Due to some extreme randomness with scheduling at work, I have the 25th-30th off. It's a mini-vacation! So... where should I go??? Entertain me with suggestions!

I think it really depends on how much money you want to spend.

Moderate vacations around here:
Olympic National Park (we just got back)
North Cascades Hwy (earliest opening ever) to Methow valley
Vancouver (though the US dollar's not what it used to be)
Portland (Powell's)
San Juans (orcas)

Cheapest vacation:
Get out some maps and find the parks and other green spaces you haven't been to. Go to one each day. Advantage--free to a few bucks for access.

Day trips in the middle:
Volcanos (Rainier, Baker , or St. Helens)
Vashon Is. (scenicness)
Port Townsend (Victorian mansions, shopping, good food)
Edmonds (shopping)
antiqueing
rent a kayak on Lake Union
