To all my friends who probably *aren't* reading this because family won't let them go online today, Happy Thanksgiving! And to all my friends who aren't in the U.S. and think of Thanksgiving as a foreign holiday, I guess I'll just say Happy Day, anyway.

My parents are from El Salvador, and usually around this day every year my mom brings up a "humorous" (not meant meanly) anecdote about the wife of one of the former presidents of El Salvador, when they were visiting the United States one autumn. At the end of the trip, she asked her husband, "I didn't know that the United States had saints that I haven't heard about. Who is this San Givus?" ("Thanksgiving" sounded that way to her.)

So, sometimes my family calls Thanksgiving "The Feast of San Givus".

I told you it was a dumb story.

Believe me or not, I did NOT cheat for that! (pointed toward the isLove Generator by [livejournal.com profile] bittersweet_art )

And one more thing...

I recently splurged on the first 3 discs of Twelve Kingdoms (Juuni Kokki). Upon rewatching of this *beautiful* anime, I realized... a yummy disturbing visual and character resemblence... between the stunningly hot black-haired, 500 hundred-year-old King of En and...

...well, you can fill in the rest.

Bah ha ha! If that was my family, we would always be calling it "The Feast of San Givus".

But these are the people who pronounce Egypt as "egg-wiped", most of the time. My dad said it that way (to be funny) one day, and it kinda stuck.

Food is love! How appropriate, today! ^^

(A year ago I didn't even know to what "html" referred. I'm planning to learn code before another year has passed.)

There is a decided lack of Clow Shrine-ness, and I saw a really excellent site -- Snowdrop's Fair-Haired Bishonen shrine thingy -- that I would love to emulate for Clow, orig. Kino, En-ou, Eclipse (from Demon Diary), and any other ink/autumn haired honey that starts me chewing my nails (again). For example, I prefer Inu Yasha on his "moon days", when his hair goes black.
