Pre-Turkey

To all my friends who probably *aren't* reading this because family won't let them go online today, Happy Thanksgiving! And to all my friends who aren't in the U.S. and think of Thanksgiving as a foreign holiday, I guess I'll just say Happy Day, anyway.
My parents are from El Salvador, and usually around this day every year my mom brings up a "humorous" (not meant meanly) anecdote about the wife of one of the former presidents of El Salvador, when they were visiting the United States one autumn. At the end of the trip, she asked her husband, "I didn't know that the United States had saints that I haven't heard about. Who is this San Givus?" ("Thanksgiving" sounded that way to her.)
So, sometimes my family calls Thanksgiving "The Feast of San Givus".
I told you it was a dumb story.

And one more thing...
I recently splurged on the first 3 discs of Twelve Kingdoms (Juuni Kokki). Upon rewatching of this *beautiful* anime, I realized... ayummy disturbing visual and character resemblence... between the stunningly hot black-haired, 500 hundred-year-old King of En and...
