Sorry, I just read something awesome by
elihice. I'm *such* a pathetic fangirl.
I have social invitations on both Saturday and Sunday. I don't get to go unless I get my words in. Right now, dinner calls.

Date: 2004-11-06 07:52 pm (UTC)Look, I'm having a problem here. Maybe I'm dumb, maybe I'm blind, maybe I'm easily distracted by the color red. The point is, I can't find the scene with the absinth fizzing in the glass. I didn't even concentrate in the actual movie while looking for it, and still, I didn't got to see it. So I haven't been able to screencap it, for the same reasons.
Could you please tell me in which specific part of the movie (approximately, I mean) the absinth appears? I'm going a little insane here.
absinthe
Date: 2004-11-06 08:38 pm (UTC)The scene is the one where Mina goes into that pavilion with the shadow puppet show, and then she meets up with Dracula (looking all sexy in his little round glasses). They go off together and he gives her a glass of absinthe (they're sitting at a little table, like a private room in a restaurant) in a champagne flute. It's green, and burns a cube of sugar on a spoon over a flame and drops it in.
That's where I think there's a close-up on the glass... but it might be after Mina starts hallucinating. Images blur by, and one of them is of the champagne flute of fizzing green liquid.
Like I said, I might have made up an image in my head that doesn't actually exist on screen. Sorry!
Re: absinthe
Date: 2004-11-06 09:52 pm (UTC)And besides, since the scene was so fast, and Gary Oldman's accent is weird, and the subtitles were in Spanish, didn't even realized he was talking about the absinthe XP I'm really dumb and slow.
Again, the scene is fast, and the frames overlap each other. So well, they kind of look weird. So I did what I could, since sometimes the things changed too much to make a neat image.
Here (http://usuarios.lycos.es/kirisame/caps/) are various caps with various shots, unorganized. Tell me if there's any good for you, and I'll make the icon from it. Do you want me to add text or anything?
Re: absinthe
Date: 2004-11-06 10:21 pm (UTC)The ones where the bottle & label show (like 2 and 4) are the most suitable for icon-making, except that they might not crop well. If you can retain the whole absinthe-labeled bottle and most of the bottle pouring, that would be great.
I'm still pondering text. If you make me a base, I can add text later when I think of it.
Oh, and -- *thank you*!

Date: 2004-11-06 10:36 pm (UTC)Best cropping, cleaning and brigthness I can come up with. I can't use a lot of filters on it, since I can make it worse-looking.
