butterflydreaming: "Cris", in blocks with a blinking cat (bath)

Since I just put a non-musemuggers original short story into [livejournal.com profile] chrysalisdreams, I also just went through and friended a whole slew of you from this journal's list, so that you can read such friends-locked things if you choose. The usual disclaimer applies: recipro friending not required, and if you want to un-friend this journal since you'll have that one (which is free of my rambling and angsting), you can certainly do so (and I'll just eat some more chocolate).

If I've forgotten anyone somehow, drop me a line.

It's Riddle's Story, and here's a little A/N on it.

So [livejournal.com profile] musemuggers_2 asked for a little bio this week, and that started me thinking about Turning the Key -- the reason that I'm trying to learn how to write is so that I can get that written. I've been poking around the characters, and a while ago I wrote "Riddle's Story", which, like "Diamond Tears", is a short using the characters from Key. Except for the songfic, I don't have any other story going on this week, so I thought, "It doesn't suck, so why not put it up?"

And here's a weird little behind-the-scenes factoid for you: I had already discovered Riddle, the red-point Siamese, months before we got the 2nd cat. Who is... a red-point Siamese (mix). Sadly, Aya is much dumber than Riddle. And as far as I know, can't talk to dragons.

Another Key (but incidental) character (guest, really), Corr, might be my NaNo novel! There will be a few things that I will have to do to prepare, however.

1.Decide on my Vampire Rules
2.Immerse myself in True Crime non-fiction, or I won't know anything about who she's eating
3.Plotboard it

This is not a definite choice for NaNo yet. I'm also considering a dark psycho/horror thing about revenge. I'd like to have a list of possibles before the first of October.

Oh goodness, I loved Riddle's Story. You managed to capture the moods of a cat perfectly, and the magical world had just the right blend of the familiar and the wonderous. And your prose, as usual, was mellifluous.

If Riddle makes a cameo in your novel, I certainly wouldn't complain.

Riddle

He's not just in it... he's a main character! {shakes head} Oh, and I see you're doing NaNo, too. Awesome!
