I'm getting tired of people posting petitions before they do their homework or contact companies directly (and that means someone other than the hourly employee working the counter).

I've never had an issue with requesting no lid at Stabucks. They also recycle and compost at many locations in the U.S.

My guess is that she stopped at a Starbucks in an airport. If so, the issue should be taken up with the airport/port authority as they are usually the ones who handle garbage from the franchises and probably are the ones who set the lid policy.
