Here I am, home with what is probably Covid (the symptoms have passed), gearing up to tell my boss I won't be in for a week. The first test appointment I could get is today, and then two to five days for results. No one has any of the 15 minute tests in stock, all of the testing places are drive thru, and I don't have a car.
It could be a random flu. But it probably is Covid, honestly, but since I'm vaccinated only one day of it was severe. I'm not certain only because there was (I am so grateful) very little respiratory distress. I'm pretty sure it was stress induced because it cleared after I went outside and went through my calm down. Anyway, gotta be safe, so I am not going anywhere until I am cleared or, if positive, past the quarantine period.
My work-from-home is a terrible set up. After my boss was so against it, I stuck the work laptop out of the way and resented the space it took. I don't have a desk. I am not looking forward to working remotely, honestly.
The good news is, the people I've gone to the movies with and gone to dinner with (the only crowd activities) are fine. My family at home is fine. There's no one I have been in contact with that I know has or had Covid, although I suspect there was someone at work, although he should have been clear before coming back to work. It could just be that I showed symptoms, likely my immune system needed to do a little work knocking down viral exposure.
Anyway, here goes. There's an update on the laptop that didn't go through. Time to see if it will let me log into work...
