"For Being a Woman"

This re-discovered poem is nearly a year old.
He would have kissed me, for being a woman
had I not confused my days
A simple pleasure of physical touching
a sensualist's goodbye
And had he kissed me, would I have minded?
I'm not, for such a small thing, shy.
In friendship it would have been accepted,
or in interest, or in desire,
Yet were it just "for being a woman"
The offer would have raised my ire.
