Ki

It is your Ki that has me entranced,
The vibrant pulse of vivid flame within:
Unexplored by the trailings of my hand,
Brighter gold than the bracelet at your wrist,
Warmer than your skin against my skin,
Perilously close, the times that we have kissed.
Your fire, a star that glitters against the night,
A steady sun that heats an unknown land.
My soul, a butterfly, paused from wandering flight,
My thoughts like flowers, turning toward your light.
