I think you're onto something. I've been thinking that I should start a book journal (though I typically find those pretty depressing since I sometimes start books and then don't finish them for ages because they get put aside for some new hotness) because there's no physical record of books I read on the Kindle and there are all those random library books that come home. Either a journal with e-reader holder in the front cover or a cover with a slot for a removeable (and therefore replaceable) notepad and a spot for a pen. I can envision both an upscale leather-bound version and a cheaper "make this spiralbound journal with less paper, some elastic straps maybe here and here, and a pen loop there" version.
