Interesting quick read, though. ironymaiden gave me the knowledge gift of One Bus Away (http://www.onebusaway.org/) a few months ago, a phone number & website that is better put together than Metro's bus tracker (http://transit.metrokc.gov/oltools/tracker.html). If whereswilliam has not yet discovered this wonder, please pass the info on. The real-time arrival function was not working -- it was going by scheduled times -- when I called to check during this bus waiting episode.
I sometimes walk to the next bus stop or so because I expect the bus to be SRO. Walking ahead instead of waiting means less time sardined in.
