If you take the so out, it's less fragmenty sounding. I *so* overuse that word for emphasis.
I like driving when I *want* to drive somewhere for the joy of driving. Driving in-city, dealing with traffic and parking and the other idiots in cars (because I can be a driving idiot, too) is not joyful. I enjoy the freedom from worrying about my car getting broken into or dinged when it's parked. I'm free from having to pay for auto insurance. And I have a great excuse in my pocket for being late.
