I *think* I'm caught up...

If I've missed something (you'll know by the blank look), you'll have to fill me in. Here's what I've been up to:
A while ago, I made a dummy LJ for L so that I could use the tag
divinityof_fire instead of "L". It felt like protecting her privacy. Then a few months back, I "gave" it to her so that she could read the filtered posts on Chrysalis Dreams. Just recently she implied that she might actually even use it. So if you want her on your filters, please feel free to add.
I went to the Puyallup Fair yesterday and wore myself out. Then I went back out again. The bridal shower for
llynecat has been inked in for a couple of weeks, but as it turned out, the only day that I could go to the fair was on the same day. And to top it off,
omnifarious filled his weekend, too, so if I wanted to hang out with him it was going to have to be in the later evening.
I cashed in a vacation day. This is a reasonable thing to do, because for the last two weeks of the month, KP is going to be in Europe. I'm penciling in a nervous breakdown. Actually, I think it will be okay, though stressful. Going to the fair with L & Manya sounded like a fun way to store up on happy thoughts. I wanted to ride the wooden rollercoaster, eat fair food, look at the animals, and shop the artware.
As it turns out, we didn't get to the rollercoaster. I hit the wall somewhere after the Fisher scones (hot, with butter and jam). But by then we had eaten soft serve swirl cones, seen the sheep, bunnies, and chickens, and perused the hot tubs and the shopping. I saw some Amy Brown images used on T-shirts, possibly w/o permission (her name was no where on them). I'm thinking about ratting out that vender.
I ran the time a little closely but got to downtown and found a parking spot without being too late to
llynecat's bridal shower at Tia Lou's.
chaoselemental, party planner, had dahlia's for each of us. ^_^ They were a little big to wear behind the ear but looked great stuck into a bun or ponytail. Tia Lou's makes a really good lemonade, by the way. I was kind of bummed when I realized that because of the driving I wouldn't be having any drinks; I'm so used to the freedom that comes with taking the bus everywhere.
spazzychic was finally able to get away and join the party... right before
omnifarious arrived to steal me away. {pout} We'll get him to join us for sushi soon sometime, I hope, and then we can do proper introductions. I felt like a flake for having to leave. At the same time... {happy shrug}.
Today I am lazing about. Picked up some anime from the library (I've been watching Princess Tutu, on the good recommendation of
elihice and
laurus_nobilis, and rewatching CCS, among other things) and I have Otherland and a Ben Franklin book to read today. Yum, reading.
Next week, I think shopping will have to ensue. Almost nothing fits me anymore, and I need autumn and winter clothes. That's not *wholely* a complaint, as much as I dislike shopping.
