Fountain Pen love

What an attractive pen, considering that it has a plastic body. I'm considering a new pen as a birthday gift to myself. It could become a tradition! Here is another one that caught my eye:

If I get a Parker, I can get refill cartridges very easily locally. (But if I buy a Parker, Lamy or Pelikan, I can get a converter and not use disposable cartridges.) Then there is the appeal of a carbon ink desk pen, such as the one by Platinum. It would solve my worry about using fountain ink on the outside envelopes of letters. The desk pens are all sold out on Jet Pens.
