Today I...
...took a walk in the beautiful weather,
went to the bank,
bought groceries at the co-op with cash I got from the bank,
wrote up a food blog post, and
filed my taxes.
I feel so accomplished!
I plan to make a spinach feta quiche for dinner to accompany ground lamb. The lamb was one of those please-buy-this! markdowns and needs to be cooked today. There was no elk for elkiladas, but I've been eating quesadillas or nachos for 3 meals out of 5 for the last couple weeks. I have pita chips to crush up and mix into the lamb. I think I will mix in sun dried tomatoes, too. Loads of garlic, of course. This time I will write everything down right away; if it comes out well, it can be another post for the food blog.
A carrot cake (trusted recipe) OR lemon-lavender cake (experimental recipe) is also on the menu. If I do the l-l cake, I need to make one for practice, because my niece asked me to bring over a cake. I imagine that D will help me out with the prototype.
As long as I haven't run out of steam!
