Birthday, Big or Little?

Well, since St. Patrick's Day is my younger brother's birthday, I've been thinking about my own upcoming birthday. Mine is April 11, a Tuesday this year. That's a little over 3 weeks from now.

i will be out of town at a conference for work :(

i think you should have it all - do something big plus several smaller things. (because i could be home for a smaller thing, and that would be nice.)

Over how many days is the conference? I'm also dodging Norwescon. [livejournal.com profile] buhrger did give me 2nd dibs for that Tuesday. I'm putting in a back-up plan, but small for the 11th is my pref.

I looked at the answers... trust [livejournal.com profile] buhrger to be the only polite one on question three.

I hate birthdays...

[identity profile] butterflydrming.livejournal.com 2006-03-17 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Why? All birthdays, or just when yours comes around?

[personal profile] buhrger 2006-03-17 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
i have no comment

[identity profile] butterflydrming.livejournal.com 2006-03-17 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Because you've given up your comment here?

[identity profile] shadowquill.livejournal.com 2006-03-17 06:28 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not that I don't like birthdays, I don't like large groups of people, especially if I don't know them very well. Like my family in law.
I've been known to hide in the kitchen. ^_^

I Always Wear Terry Cloth

[identity profile] butterflydrming.livejournal.com 2006-03-17 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I think you might need to translate that for [livejournal.com profile] shadowquill.

[personal profile] buhrger 2006-03-17 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
but it's less fun that way!

[identity profile] shadowquill.livejournal.com 2006-03-17 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
*feels stupid* Terry Cloth?

[identity profile] shadowquill.livejournal.com 2006-03-17 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah! ^-^

[identity profile] shadowquill.livejournal.com 2006-03-17 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, let's make fun of the Dutch girl. ;P

As far as I can tell, only [livejournal.com profile] buhrger and [livejournal.com profile] ironymaiden really know what this in-joke means.

Kind of like the icon thing (http://butterflydrming.livejournal.com/186097.html?thread=690161#t690161) a while back...

some time ago (lj-grep offline, so i'll have to track down the link later) [livejournal.com profile] ironymaiden replied to a comment i made somewhere on LJ with "IAWTC". before my brain produced the Official Meaning™ of this acronym (I Agree With That Comment), i had already come up with I Always Wear Terry Cloth. i now sometimes use that, meaning the other.
(i also came up with I Assert: Wow! That's Correct, which is more obviously synonymous, but has less Terry Cloth)

[identity profile] shadowquill.livejournal.com 2006-03-17 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay. I'll just ignore it then. :)

ah, turns out it was buried in my memories file. here's the moment!

[identity profile] shadowquill.livejournal.com 2006-03-17 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
o_O The things you learn on the internet. IAWTC = I Agree With That Comment. Isn't it easier to just type 'I agree'?

Thanks for explaining by the way.

*chuckles* I remember a while back somebody saying BFFE and me thinking, 'WTF?'.

(BFFE = Best Friends For Ever, by the way...)
