The problem with most of the lyric music that I own is the recurrent theme of unhappiness in love. Today has been Tori Amos ("Parasol"), Vienna Teng ("Harbor" has a sense of desperate failure, to me), Old 97's (see post title).
I like music when I'm drawing. I knew better than to pick Devotchka or Jeff Buckley, but maybe I should have gone with Muse, The White Stripes, or System of a Down.
Now I'm kind of depressed.
And nothing sounds good for dinner.
Somewhere around here, there's a copy of some Magnetic Fields.
Moons in June
I've given up on that stuff
Arms have charms but I've no hope of falling in love
Rings and strings
What use have I for these things?
Bells and carousels
I'd just be fooling myself.
The rest of life pales in significance
I'm looking for somebody with whom to dance
With whom to dance? With whom to dance?
I'm looking for somebody with whom to dance.
Posting song lyrics is what you do when your what, 14?
