I'm done working for the rest of 2017
Dec. 29th, 2017 04:44 pm 2017. It still freaks me out a little at first. The year 2000 was the future!
Due to the scheduler's mistake, I have today and tomorrow off. Due to having very few hours at all, I have Sunday off, too. Yay for three days in a row!
I started the day early with a job interview for full time, at higher pay (go me). I haven't been getting enough work to actually live on, and at this point there is nothing else I can do but find other work -- again.
Then, through the heavy rain, I got a bunch of other stuff done. I came home to enjoy feeling comfy while the weather is yuck outside.
Last night, after I scrounged to give a couple of dollars to the guy who is usually selling Real Change, but last night only had a cardboard sign, I saw him get on the next bus. I feel that, lately, I've been missing what should be obvious. But I was glad I had decided that while I don't exactly have enough right now, I could still share what cash I have. It got him on a warm bus, transfer good for a few hours put of the weather.
I've been falling short a lot. That helped me feel better.
