ReTreasure

When you find one of your tribes in a physical location, what a particular feeling of joy it brings. In Burien (a small city south of Seattle proper, for all reading this who are not local) I have found ReTreasure. Today, I went by to drop off craft items (egg carton, plastic trays, bits & bobs) and show Yon samples of accessories for consignment there. In addition to being kid-friendly artist space, ReT has started selling upcycled art on consignment.

I have the green light for the toner bead jewelry, pop tab hair clips, and more. The yarn is a maybe; I am surprised but also OK with that. The jewelry is what I want to offer most, because it exactly fits into the business plan I wrote up a couple of months ago. I now need to give her details on a display plan, product details, and pricing for review.

I love that Yon added retail consignment. It gives folks who love the upcycling & reuse craft store/studio something to buy, an opportunity to contribute. People with children already love the space. Yet the parent who came in when I was heading out was wandering around, browsing, not crafting with her kids, so there is great retail opportunity there.

I feel great, having now checked off 2 to-do boxes *and* written about it!
