May. 20th, 2014 10:56 pmThe iconic Magic Girl anime has a new North American license and is getting the Bluray treatment! You can watch it now on Hulu, restored and subtitled with original Japanese voices.

The old release cut up the episodes and censored out major character things, such as the romantic relationship of two of the girls (who are lovely together). Usagi's original voice is cute, rather than annoying. If she wasn't an inspiration for Buffy Summers, I'll eat my gold umbrella.
The hand drawn, hand colored animation is kind of awesome. The groovy transformation scene and even the reused animation are charming. And, honestly? I love the title song.
