That last little push for the day
Nov. 4th, 2013 09:47 pmI'm on track with NaNoWriMo. I posted my words to the website half an hour ago, and when I saw that the expected completion date had again fallen back to December 1st, I went back and wrote a few hundred more words. Then a few hundred more, just two paragraphs, to drop my average-per-day-to-finish down to 1600.
I've never felt the incentive of word count quite so much before. It's an interesting feeling. Also, not struggling for something to write. I'm asking myself "which part am I writing now?" instead of "now what?"
The second half of today's words has been a little tangent referencing Rosetti's "Goblin Market." I'm keeping myself entertained.
My big distraction tonight, besides my hands hurting again, is the Nook HD+ that I bought for myself. It's kind of rad. My plan is to shift most of my passive online stuff to the tablet, so that I think about my netbook again as a place to work, a tool for writing. Plus now I can properly enjoy Spindrift.
