Story 300

"Parasol" was the 300th story on AO3 for my (old) fandom. How tidy! (I've 'ported 33 fics to the archive thus far.) Since its posting last night, 43 strangers have visited it (two archives), one of whom even left me a review. (Thanks J.B.!) I didn't think anyone would read it!

You know what the internet is? Freaking amazing, that's what it is.

It occurs to me that 1)it's blasted late, for how early I need to be up and 2)I'm echo archiving, now, too.

Audio Fanfiction Library does them as audio drama, rather than a reading. The various parts are read by volunteer voice actors.

The idea seems to have been around for a while. I'd never heard of it!

It does make me want to write something in first person POV... not necessarily fanfic, mind... with the intent to read it aloud. I often "hear" stories as I write them. Having the idea of that voice literally being a voice, my voice, would shape the work, I think. Interesting, interesting. I added a better voice recording app to my phone today. I like the idea of recording "Oreads & Other Nymphs." Maybe I should do this little Riddle ficlet because it's short and has no dialog.
